The FengShuiVerse team discuss their upcoming NFT project PIXIU and the lore that supports this interesting concept. We are really hyped about this project, and it certainly feels like one to watch.
What is FengShuiVerse?
Feng Shui means ‘the way of the wind and water’, a renowned Chinese art of spatial arrangement to achieve harmony and balance. Our aim here is to introduce this practice into the inherently abstract nature of the metaverse, inviting positive energy and fortune into the ecosystem to the bearer of FengShuiVerse artefacts.
Why PIXIU?
The core element to achieving harmony and balance lies in a pillar that is built on a foundation of wealth. PIXIUs are regarded as auspicious creatures of wealth and powerful protectors to their bearers, with their menacing presence that wards off evil.
What are PIXIUs?
PIXIU are mythical Chinese creatures, a hybrid with the head of a dragon and the body of a lion. This male mythical creature is known as ‘PI’ while the female goes by ‘XIU’. They are often seen together as a pair, hence generally regarded as PIXIU, and are told apart by their traits, a male PIXIU flaunts a large antler at the back of its head, while a female has two smaller antlers.

Origin
Legend has it that the PIXIU pair was punished by the Jade Emperor for violating the law of the heavens. As punishment, the Jade Emperor sentenced the PIXIUs to an eternity of only being able to consume gold, silver and precious jewels. This Chinese lore has been passed down for 2000 years, and that is why the Chinese believe that displaying PIXIUs at home would attract wealth in Feng Shui.
Our PIXIU PARTY will be launching 8,888 PIXIU NFTs, each PIXIU is unique and generated from over 145 possible traits, including background, head-inserts and skin. All PIXIUs are unique, but we do have some ultra-rare traits in the collection. PIXIU are stored as ERC-721 tokens on Avalanche blockchain, minting a PIXIU will cost 1.8 AVAX on Mint Day.
PIXIU owners will also gain access to FengShuiVerse and unlock the door to the next chapter in our project.
