For as long as we can remember, our favourite hashtag, #AVAX was followed by the Avalanche Logo. When it mysteriously disappeared, we were distraught. Naturally, we decided to investigate this phenomenon.
From our initial research, it seems that our beloved Avalanche Team did at one point pay to have a branded #Hashflag. We discovered that this is a monetised service through Twitter, but the cost is a highly guarded secret, although PepsiCo reportedly paid upwards of $1 Million for #PepsiHalftime during the Superbowl.
We started by contacting Twitter directly to discuss this, in the most appropriate manner available to us, considering the medium.

We then decided to contact the team at Avalanche for a comment, to see if they could shed some light on the situation.
@avalancheavax, DM’d you regarding the mysterious disappearance of the ???? #hashflag that we all know and love. #SpiderMan, #DoritosDisruptorSeries and #Vanguard all have their own emojis and we wondered if you could shed some light on the subject for the #AVAX #NFTCommunity pic.twitter.com/rYXgPK9s3N

After a mere 15 hours, Avalanche responded and created a brand new hashflag for the community. Let’s hope it sticks around.

You will notice that it differs slightly from the original, however, we like it. If you are feeling nostalgic, you can always visit here to see it in all of it’s former glory.
