The AvaPepes project sold out within 53 minutes when it launched on the Avalanche blockchain in October with great fanfare. A project release for the NFT history books, minting 10,000 in under an hour is no mean feat.
Users got the chance to own these highly “meme-able” NFT artworks for 2.5 AVAX each.
The brief time between going live and selling out was a sign of great success for this project. Currently, traders are trying to grab these NFTs with the anticipation that their prices will continue rising.
The NFTs are currently available on platforms like Kalao.io or NFtrade.com. Incentives were included at the varying milestones of the mint: $25k giveaway at 25% minted, $50k giveaway at 50% minted and a $75k giveaway at 75% minted. With a further $100K going to ten lucky minters when the project sold out.
The highest sale of an AvaPepe is recorded at 500 AVAX, while the average sales remain between 2.5 AVAX and 5 AVAX. The total sales volume is currently over 10,000 AVAX.
The AvaPepes project consists of 10,000 unique computer-generated characters. An Avapepe is randomly generated from 160 unique attributes and then further categorised into tiers that make them even rarer. The tiers are ranked from “common” to “legendary”, with each subsequent rank having a corresponding percentage of being minted (Common – 40%, Uncommon – 39%, Rare – 12%, Super – 6.5%, Mythic – 2%, and Legendary – 0.5%).
