Chikn NFT Project Overview

We spoke to the recently fully minted NFT project chikn. Now that their chikns have come home to roost, they tell us all about their unique project.

Over 10,000 algorithmically generated, unique. chikn are no ordinary NFTs.

Exclusive to Avalanche, chikn is a complete ecosystem, inclusive of Tri-Token architecture, structured entirely around our limited supply of NFTs. This novel architecture is designed to create a self-sustainable ecosystem for our chikn, but also for all future NFT projects to launch on chikn farm.

Most existing NFT projects, if not all, are limited by their own design. Their illiquid supply has little life beyond an initial mint, relying entirely on mimetic desire. The ‘jpeg’ era of NFTs is ending as social mimetic desires give way to decentralised value creation. When you can have both, why not have both?

So yes, chikn uses a fun, approachable and self-aware theme as the wrapping for the platform. This also happens to make comprehending our Tri-Token architecture incredibly easy. We are not just here to sell some sweet jpegs – we’re here to change the game – but yes, we are selling some pretty sweet jpegs.

With chikn, we are cognisant of the challenge of continuously growing our community alongside the platform, and we are determined to establish a sense of permanence. As such, three features are paramount:

1. Utility of chikn – ‘Roost’ your chikn on our platform, it lays $egg – the platform’s native token. chikn and $egg are used for governance and participation within the chikn platform and DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization).
2. Upgrade your chikn – $feed your chikn, it gets biggr, it lays more $egg. Period. chikn size is measured in ‘kg’ – Kilograms/KillerGains. By writing directly to the metadata of your NFT, as your chikn’s kg# rises, it will permanently lay more $egg.
3. Purpose of $egg – ultimately, our platform will become a launchpad for emerging NFT projects on AVAX. They will launch with our Tri-token model, however – their ‘feed’ will be our $egg. Whenever $egg is fed to an NFT to ‘level up’, it is permanently burned from the overall supply, meaning it will eventually become deflationary. The chikn community, along with future NFT projects to launch on chikn farm, will dictate the usage of $egg.
