The Cookie Game, Food For Thought?

We spoke to the “Cookie Monster” himself, to discuss his exciting NFT Project built on the Avalanche Blockchain. Cookie Game. Inspired by one of our favourite idle games, Cookie Clicker. 

The original Cookie Cutter game needs no introduction. An instant cult classic that was released back in 2013, it lured players in with its simple, yet increasingly complex game mechanics. (if you didn’t know already, the original Cookie Clicker game is credited as one of the few games to have played a major role in the establishment of the genre of idle gaming)

Cookie Game certainly pays homage to the original and iconic game, while bringing its own unique twist to the genre, allowing you to passively earn ERC20 $COOKIE tokens that will have a real-world effect on your wallet. 

You will initially mint Bakers, who passively collect $COOKIE tokens for you. If you are really fortunate, you will mint a super rare Robot Baker. There are only 500 Robot Bakers in the total supply of 10,000 and they generate $COOKIEs at a rate 25x faster than regular Bakers.

The $COOKIE token that is passively generated by your NFT is interesting for a number of reasons. Firstly, it can be used to buy and upgrade your NFT so they can produce $COOKIEs at a faster rate, these upgrade tokens are separate ERC721 tokens that sit in your wallet and are very limited in supply. Secondly, the $COOKIE you earn has the ability to be listed on DEX’s such as Trader Joe.

For us, The Pantry is the most exciting part of this project. $COOKIEs that are staked in The Pantry generate rewards that come from the 20% tax that is applied when you begin to stake, as well as a 50% penalty that applies if participants decide to leave The Pantry before the two-day minimum lock-in period has ended. The Pantry mechanic will be reward holders for being “Diamond Hands” and “Paper Hands” will be disincentivised. Staking tokens in The Pantry will reward you with $sCOOKIEs that represent your ownership of $COOKIE.
